Our team of enthusiasts designed these Merino wool outdoor hiking socks, the best material for the most demanding mountain hikers.
How to choose the right socks for mountain hiking
Each of our sock sizes fits 4 shoe sizes (3/5, 6/8, 9/12, 13/15). The benefit of the elastane qualities in our socks is that they fit well on your foot and stay in place. We all have feet of different sizes, in length, proportion, and volume: therefore it is important to try on the socks before going mountain hiking.
Choosing the height of your socks
We offer 3 lengths of outdoor hiking socks. "Short/low" goes slightly above the shoe, but below the ankle. "Medium" protects the ankles and stops just above them. These 2 lengths are suitable for wearing with low-cut shoes. "Long/high" are perfect for wearing with high-top hiking boots, as they stop just below the calf.
Reducing the risk of chafing
We have chosen a technical yarn with a specific layer (PTFE) on the heel and toe to reduce chafing and thus the risk of blisters. Under no circumstances do these socks offer 100% protection against blisters. Blisters usually appear when our skin is weakened by chafing, generally caused by socks, shoes or foreign bodies. Moisture also plays an important role as it weakens our skin.
Warranty
Our mountain hiking socks have a 2-year warranty.
