How to check your tire wear?
To assess the wear of your tires and know when to replace them, examine the condition of the tire surface. It's time to change them if you can see the protective strip (or the underlying layer) or if the tread pattern (tread blocks) has disappeared. If one of these conditions is met, it is advisable to replace them.
How to remove your tire
Start by removing the wheel from your bike and deflate the inner tube. Push the sides of the tire inwards to detach it from the rim edges. Grab the DECATHLON tire levers (ref.: 8930710). Place one between the tire and the rim to lift the sidewall. You can attach it to the spoke. Repeat the action with the second tire lever to fully remove the tire from one side. Then pull the tire to completely remove it from the wheel.
How to fit a new tire with an inner tube
To fit the tire, start from one side, following the indicated rotation direction. Slide the slightly inflated inner tube inside the tire. Then, mount the second sidewall onto the rim, starting near the valve to avoid pinching it.
How to properly inflate the tire
Before inflating the tire, check that it is correctly positioned on the rim. Then check the recommended pressure on the side of the tire. Inflate to the specified pressure for optimal performance.
