Our team of passionate designers has created this judo gi so your child can discover judo and make their debut on the tatami.
Fabric weight and composition: what do they mean?
Fabric thickness is expressed in grams per square metre. This is called fabric weight. For judo, it is better to have a durable fabric uniform that resists not only gripping but also washing! This is why we chose a fabric of 35% cotton and 65% polyester: It better resists pulling and washing. What about the fabric weight? At 190 g/m², your child will be extremely comfortable while learning!
Caring for your uniform
We suggest you air out your uniform after each use. To keep it white, make sure to wash it regularly. A tip? Wash in cold water for the first few washes. After that, you can wash it at temperatures up to 30°C. When drying, it is best to let it air dry and avoid using a dryer :)
Introducing the 100 Kids' Judo Uniform
To make learning judo easier, we've created a sporty gi that meets all your needs: the correct sleeve length, looseness at the shoulders, and a fitted waist so you can move with ease. And the bottoms? They are more durable at the knees for ground fighting. And with the elastic waistband, they are easy to put on!
What size gi should you get?
The right size depends on your child's height! Our gis come in sizes from 100 to 150 cm. We recommend choosing one that is at least 5 cm larger than your child's height, in case of any rapid growth (children usually grow 5 to 10 cm per year). For example: If your child is 1.35 m tall, choose a 140 cm gi.
Is your child learning judo? With a white belt and reinforcements in high-stress areas, this soft and durable uniform is perfect for learning the basics in judo.
