Child development
We design our products with the support of a physiotherapist to understand how we can make children more autonomous through our clothing. "The challenge is to prevent children from getting discouraged. You have to give them actions that they can see as possible, so that they repeat them until they become automatic and something they can use more generally," explains Agathe, our partner physiotherapist.
Baby gym
Part sport, part game, and part chance for your little one to explore the world! The baby gym is the starting point for budding champions. It supports your child's psychomotor development while they have maximum fun! Children aged 1 to 6 can take part in obstacle courses made of special child-friendly equipment.
What to wear for baby gym
To feel comfortable, your child can rely on Domyos products: T-shirts, jogging bottoms, leggings, and zipped hoodies! The aim is for them to feel comfortable without having to constantly pull up their bottoms or pull down their top. Technical features vary depending on your child's level.
Product testing
When designing our products, we choose fabrics and dyes that are not harmful to children, as well as accessories (buttons, etc.) that cannot be swallowed. We ensure that our fabrics are not toxic if your child puts them in their mouth. In addition to these standards, we consider your child's safety when designing every aspect of our products. These small details make all the difference!
Helping children achieve their goal of dressing themselves
How can we help them? With easy-to-close zips, a wide neckline so they can dress themselves without getting stuck in the top, visual markers so they wear clothes correctly, and much more! Thanks to this little help, your child will gradually learn to dress themselves like big kids.
What is minimal waste?
The goal is to reduce textile waste during product manufacturing, starting from the design phase. Products are designed and manufactured using a pattern template rather than just based on a drawing. This means that pattern creation is a key part of the design process. We ensure that the different parts of the product fit together perfectly like a puzzle on the pattern template to generate minimal waste.
Why use a minimal waste design approach?
Between 15% and 20% of textiles used for clothing end up as fabric waste. Wasted textiles mean wasted natural resources. It is vital to address the problem at the source by maximizing textile use, minimizing waste, and generating as little fabric waste as possible during the product manufacturing process. For this product, we have reduced waste from 18% to 9%.
This baby tracksuit breaks design rules by following a minimal waste approach. A modest first step towards more responsible design.
