Do you need to keep your food hot or cold for several hours? Our designers created this simple, lightweight isothermal stainless steel box.
Function
Discover your 2-in-1 meal companion. In addition, a generous 0.8L space for your carbohydrates and vegetables. Below, a 0.4L compartment that is perfect for your proteins. A practical handle to take it anywhere and an elastic loop for storing cutlery.
Do not place the box in the microwave.
Tips for maximizing the performance of your isothermal box.
Fill the lunch box with hot water for 5 minutes and then replace the water with hot food. Close the box. The fuller the box, the more effectively it keeps its contents hot or cold.
Main tips...
In addition to keeping food hot, you can also keep it cold during your outdoor excursions. There's nothing better than a scoop of ice cream in the middle of a walk to motivate children (and adults!). You can also use your box as a yogurt maker: Boil milk, let it cool to about 43°C (warm but not scalding), then pour the milk into the box with a spoonful of yogurt. Close the box and leave it overnight (between 6 and 10 hours).
How does the isothermal element work?
We use a double wall of stainless steel with a vacuum in between to block thermal exchanges by conduction or convection. To block exchanges from thermal radiation, a thin layer of copper covers the outside of the inner wall. The top is insulated thanks to an internal insert made of expanded polystyrene.
Materials and regulations
Our products and materials comply with current standards for food contact. They do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA) in accordance with current French regulations. We have chosen to use 18/8 (304) stainless steel for the container, known for its food safety, and a heat- and shock-resistant polypropylene for the top. The seal and handle are made of silicone, an extremely durable material.
First use
Rinse the entire product 3 times with clean water before using it for the first time.
Product design: our expertise
Our global design center in Quechua is located in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a true meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing your mountain hiking products and providing you with all our expertise.
How is thermal insulation tested?
We tested this lunch box in the laboratory, in accordance with standard EN 12546-1, at an ambient temperature of 20°C, while it was filled to its full capacity. The time it takes to go from 95°C to 50°C (the temperature of food that feels hot enough to eat) is 16 hours.
Care tips
Dishwasher safe product (lid + body). Be careful, in this case do not lose the top seal. Dry it uncovered. The seal and handle can be removed for thorough washing and drying.
