At Decathlon, our Forclaz and Simond hiking backpacks come with a 10-year warranty, excluding normal wear and tear of the product. In case of defects, we offer repairs, replacement, or refund. The warranty covers parts from zippers to stitching - more information on our website.
Capacity
Volume 50L. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method. We use small balls to fill the main compartment, as well as every pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container to determine the equivalent volume in liters, with a margin of error of only a few %.

How to adjust my backpack?
Loosen all straps (shoulders, waist, load adjustment). First, adjust the height of the backpack. Put on the backpack. Place the hip belt on the hips (it should cover the pelvic bones) and tighten it. Tighten the shoulder straps.

Tighten the chest strap. Adjust the load lifter straps to bring the weight of the bag closer. The straps should cover the shoulders without pushing hard. If desired, adjust the back to shorten or lengthen it.
How to pack my bag for optimal comfort?
Place your sleeping bag at the bottom. Place heavy equipment (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Store your clothes around it. A groundsheet or tent can be placed under the lid or under the bag if there is no room inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sunscreen, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder can be placed in the compartment provided at the back.
Recommended carrying weight
According to the design for which this backpack was designed, we recommend that you do not load it over 15 kg. Then you can benefit from all its features. Furthermore, it is not recommended to carry a load greater than 20-25% of your weight and to put too much pressure on your back.
