The bag's components are water-repellent, so you can temporarily continue walking/hiking in light rain. Please note: This backpack is not waterproof/water-resistant and does not have a rain cover. If you want to continue walking/hiking in the rain and protect your belongings, we recommend the following model: "Rain cover 10 to 20 L", which can be seen on our website, item reference: 8772113.
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: We fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with small balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in liters. The main volume capacity of this bag is 16L. We also measured the volume with the 2 external side pockets for water bottles, through which its total capacity increases to 17L.

How to pack your backpack?
Place heavy items, e.g. laptop, picnic, etc., at the bottom and in the designated spaces. Pack your clothes around these items. Place small items that you will use during the day (sunscreen, map, sunglasses, etc.) in the pockets. Place water bottle(s) in the external pockets on the sides that are made for this purpose.
Quechua backpack: 10-year warranty
At Decathlon, all our Quechua backpacks have a 10-year warranty against normal wear and tear of the product. In case of a defect, we recommend repairing, replacing, or refunding it. The warranty covers parts from the zipper to the seams: more information can be found in the support section on the Decathlon website.
Tested for optimal durability
To ensure the bag is strong enough, we perform laboratory tests on the components and seams, which reflect the long-term wear and tear the backpack will withstand. For example, for a fabric, we test abrasion and tear resistance, colorfastness when exposed to UV light and washing, and water repellency. We use these tests to guarantee the bags for a 10-year period from the date of purchase on the receipt.

To fully enjoy a walk in nature, we pay special attention to designing comfortable products. Balanced version: The back, shoulder straps, and handle are comfortable thanks to various foam paddings and 3D mesh for better ventilation and drying. Back: 5 pads, with 2 types of 15 mm sponge (PE - PU). Shoulder straps: 2 different sponges (EVA - PU) 8 to 13 mm. Padded chest strap, adjustable height and width.
How to adjust the backpack?
1 - Loosen all straps, shoulder straps, and chest strap. 2 - Put on the bag. 3 - Fasten the chest strap, adjust its height and width. 4 - Tighten the shoulder straps (from top to bottom). 5 - Adjust as needed. You are ready!
