How to choose the right socks for mountain hiking
Each of our sock sizes fits 4 shoe sizes (3/5, 6/8, 9/12, 13/15). The benefit of the elastane qualities in our socks is that they fit your foot well and stay in place. We all have feet of different sizes, in length, proportion, and volume: therefore, it is important to try on the socks before going on a mountain hike.
Choosing the height of your socks
We offer 3 lengths of socks for outdoor hiking. "Short/low" goes slightly above the shoe, but below the ankle. "Medium/mid" protects the ankles and stops slightly above them. These 2 lengths are suitable for wearing with low shoes. "Long/high" are perfect for wearing with high-top hiking shoes, as they stop slightly below the calf.
Reducing the risk of chafing
We have chosen a technical yarn with a specific layer (PTFE) on the heel and toe to reduce chafing and consequently the risk of blisters. Under no circumstances do these socks offer 100% protection against blisters. Blisters usually appear when our skin is weakened by friction, generally caused by socks, shoes, or foreign bodies. Moisture also plays an important role as it weakens our skin.
Warranty
Our mountain hiking socks have a 2-year warranty.
