Our designers created this pole with an innovative grip system for optimal safety and comfort during your mountain hikes.
How it was designed...
Fully designed and validated by our team. This model uses the A200 chassis. It retains the push-pin adjustment system and large tubes. Why do we offer this top-hold grip? We noticed that the standard grip doesn't suit everyone, especially for long periods. That's why we designed this pole differently, so you don't bend your wrist and the force is distributed more evenly across your arm.
Accessories sold separately and adapted for this model
The advantage of buying Forclaz mountain hiking poles is that you have a wide choice of compatible accessories and spare parts. This way you can enjoy it for as long as possible. Hiking pole tips: reference 8580865

Why is the pole sold separately?
At Decathlon, we have chosen to sell our hiking/trekking poles individually. Firstly, because of the way they are used. Indeed, some people only want to use one pole. Also, if one of your poles breaks, this means you only need to buy one and not a whole pair.
Instructions for use
This hiking pole is designed to help you maintain balance, propel yourself and distribute effort between your arms and legs. To be safe, check before you set off and at regular intervals that your pole is fixed in place by simulating heavy impacts. Do not wear the backpack in case of a storm. Some users are sensitive to the whistling noise that can occur when the wind passes through the adjustment holes.
Care tips
Proper maintenance of your poles allows you to maintain optimal function and increases their lifespan. After use, if water has entered the pole, disassemble the parts and let them dry. Clean any dust and mud with or without water, with a soft brush or paint brush. Once dry, you can reassemble the parts. We recommend not trying to oil or grease them.
How to adjust the poles to the correct length?
The arm along the body should be almost straight or slightly bent. It is therefore shorter than a conventional pole. To do this: - pull the lower part until the push pin (lower metallic button) locks
- slide the middle tube until the upper button reaches the desired hole
- use the printed lines on the tubes to align the push pin with the holes
Never exceed the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole
