WHERE DO OUR TROUSERS COME FROM?
Designed in our international design center at the foot of Mont Blanc in France, these trousers are then produced and assembled by our suppliers in Vietnam and Bangladesh. These are partners who have real expertise in the production of our trousers and with whom we are in close cooperation.
COMPONENT BREATHABILITY
The breathability of components is measured by their thermal resistance to evaporation (RET). This is its ability to allow water vapor generated by the body during physical activity to escape and thus avoid water accumulation on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.
RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric
RET ≤ 20: slightly breathable
Our product has a RET value of 12
COMPONENT WATER REPELLENCY CHARACTERISTIC
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without penetrating it. This prevents the fabric from absorbing water and keeps it light, warm, and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the outside of the fabric. This treatment must be repeated throughout the life of the garment (with every 3 washes).
COMPONENT WATERPROOF CHARACTERISTIC
The fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured by the height of the water column in mm (test according to JIS 1092 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric is. This garment has undergone a shower test using 60 liters of water/m²/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a heavy downpour in the mountains. A component with a 5,000 mm rating resists the pressure of a 5,000 mm water column (equivalent to 2 hours of rain).
Stored at the bottom of the bag, these rain trousers fully protect your child in downpours. With the MH500 jacket, they are a compact, waterproof and breathable base.
