Waterproofing
The components of the bag are water-repellent, so you can temporarily continue your walk/hike in light rain. Caution: This backpack is not waterproof and does not have a rain cover. If you want to continue walking/hiking in the rain and protect your belongings, we recommend the following model: "Rain cover 20 to 40L," which can be seen on our website, item reference 8734213.
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: We fill the main compartment, as well as every pocket, with small balls. Then, we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in liters. The capacity of the main bag is 23 liters. We measured the volume with the 2 external side water bottle pockets, its total capacity reaches 25 liters.
Quechua Backpack: 10-Year Warranty
At Decathlon, all our Quechua backpacks have a 10-year warranty against normal product wear and tear. In case of a defect, we recommend repairing, replacing, or refunding it. The warranty covers parts from the zipper to the stitching: more information can be found in the support section on the Decathlon website.
Tested for optimal durability
To ensure that the bag is strong enough, we conduct laboratory tests on the components and seams, which reflect the long-term wear and tear that the backpack will withstand. For example, for a fabric, we test abrasion and tear resistance, colorfastness when exposed to UV light and washing, and water repellency. We use these tests to guarantee the bags for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase on the receipt.

To fully enjoy your mountain walks, we put comfort at the center of our product design. The back, shoulder straps, and handle are comfortable thanks to the thick foam padding and 3D mesh for better ventilation and drying. The chest strap has padding, and its height and width are adjustable. - Back: 5 cushions made of 2 types of foam (PE - PU) with a thickness of 15 mm,
- Shoulder straps made of 2 types of foam (EVA - PU) with a thickness of 8-13 mm.

Height: 46 cm | Width: 28 cm | Thickness: 22 cm. This bag can be used as cabin luggage for an airplane trip, as its dimensions meet airline requirements (IATA). We recommend contacting your airline for details on cabin baggage size and weight restrictions.
How to pack your backpack?
Place heavy items at the bottom and in the laptop compartment, for example, picnic items in the designated spots. Pack your clothes around these items;- Place small items for daily use (phone, sunscreen, map, glasses, keys, wallet, etc.) in the pockets;
- Water bottles will be placed in the external side pockets designated for this purpose.
How to adjust your backpack?
- Loosen all straps, shoulder, waist, and chest,
- Put on the bag,
- Fasten the chest strap, adjust the height and width,
- Tighten the shoulder straps (from top to bottom),
- Adjust as needed. It's adjusted!
