To what extent is this jacket waterproof?

With its 20,000 mm (Schmerber) rating, 3-layer fabric, and 100% taped seams, this jacket offers maximum protection even in prolonged rainy conditions. 20,000 mm (Decathlon standard) The Decathlon standard is derived from the JIS standard. A column is filled with water by continuously applying a gradually increasing pressure of 100 kPa/min. The test ends when three drops appear on the other side of the fabric sample, or when it bursts.

To what extent is this jacket breathable?

The JIS L 1099 B1 test measures the water vapor that passes through the fabric in 24 hours, in grams per square meter. The higher this value, the more breathable the fabric. A performance rating of 15,000 g/m²/24 hours, corresponding to a very breathable fabric, is ideal for mountain hiking.

Is it lightweight?

Weighing only 365g and made from a 3-layer material (size L), it won't weigh you down, whether in your bag or on your shoulders. A true ally when every gram counts in the mountains.

Care instructions

Machine wash at 30°C, on a very gentle cycle. Do not use bleach, do not iron, do not dry clean, and avoid tumble drying. To prolong its lifespan, store it in a ventilated and dry place, away from direct sunlight.
