Easybreath surface mask for natural breathing through the nose and mouth, allowing you to see and breathe just like on land
Before each use, check your Easybreath, and especially your child's:
- Hold the mask in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball should follow the movement without restriction.
- Check that the seal is in place, in good condition, and correctly positioned.
- Check that all valves are in place, lying flat, and not deformed.
- Check the overall assembly of the mask and ensure there are no defects in the assembly of the skirt to the frame or to the lens.
- Never use the mask without the mask itself.
What if my mask fogs up?
If your Easybreath is fogging up around the eyes, we recommend you follow the 4 steps listed above, correctly repositioning the mask and checking that your Easybreath is the right size for your face. If the problem persists, do not use the mask and contact your nearest Decathlon store.
Safety in snorkeling with a mask
Snorkeling is an easy and fun activity for the whole family! Breathing with a snorkel tube is physically more demanding than swimming. If you feel tired, have difficulty breathing, or feel dizzy, remove the mask and get out of the water. Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina pectoris, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.
What Easybreath models are available at Decathlon?
Easybreath: A mask that allows nose and mouth breathing, with a wide field of vision and an anti-fog system through air circulation. Available for adults and children.
Easybreath +: Additionally, an acoustic valve that allows you to speak louder on the surface, with your head above water (without having to remove the mask!)
Easybreath 900: a soft nose that allows you to equalize your ears and descend to depths of up to 3m; don't stay on the surface, go down there!
What is Easybreath+?
Easybreath+ is the next-generation full-face mask designed by Decathlon. It has the same features as the old model: 180° vision, anti-fog, easy to wear, stronger, more comfortable, and 20% easier breathing. It is also equipped with innovations: a valve that allows communication on the surface and "dry surface release" which prevents the phenomenon of breath interruption during diving.
How does Easybreath work?
Fresh air is projected onto the glass before reaching the nose or mouth through the nose valves. The continuous supply of fresh air reduces the amount of fogging in the mask. Humid air and CO² are expelled through channels inside the skirt of the mask, which direct it towards the snorkel. The air is continuously renewed. The airflow entering and exiting is separated to avoid mixing contaminated air and to allow you to inhale clean air. Licensed by Ocean Reef Group
Waterproofing: How does the dry roof system prevent water from entering?
The mask uses Dry-top technology. This system was developed to prevent water from entering the snorkel tube when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface, in case of a dive, or when the user tilts their head too far forward to observe the seabed. The snorkel is equipped with a float that rises to close the opening when the snorkel is submerged. When this happens, remember to take the mask out of the water and blow into the mask to ensure the float returns to its position.
Can I repair my Easybreath+ mask if it breaks?
YES, you can extend the lifespan of your Easybreath snorkeling mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop at your Decathlon store. Replaceable parts (strap, cover, snorkel tube, valves) are all available online or in store.
Strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel tube - 8506099, white cover - 8665853.
Can I dive with my Easybreath+?
Easybreath+ is not suitable for diving. The air volume in the Easybreath mask is larger than that of other traditional diving masks. From just 1 meter down, the pressure of the mask becomes very uncomfortable on your face. Furthermore, during freediving, it is necessary to equalize. With the Easybreath+ mask, this is impossible because the nose is inaccessible. So, you need an Easybreath 900 if you want to descend below the surface.
Why choose Easybreath instead of a traditional mask with a valve?
The Decathlon Easybreath mask is the preferred choice for those who have reservations about snorkeling with a mouthpiece or deep diving. Easybreath is ideal for shallow water activities. It allows natural nose and mouth breathing and has a wide field of vision.
What size Easybreath+ should I choose?
Easybreath+ is available in 2 sizes that cover 90% of faces. For ages 10 and up and for small faces, choose size S/M. For larger faces, use size M/L. To choose the correct size when in store, tighten the mask so it fits your face: There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask.
Can I wear Easybreath+ if I have a beard?
Beard hairs prevent good contact between the facial skin and the skirt of the mask. Therefore, the seal of this full-face mask cannot be guaranteed for people with beards. To ensure a watertight seal, it is best to shave. Alternatively, using a thick balm like petroleum jelly can also be a solution.
Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask?
Most glasses frames will prevent the mask from sealing properly by distorting the skirt of the mask. It is also complicated to use the Easybreath mask with glasses.
What precautions should I take with my Easybreath+ mask?
Pay attention to sand! Avoid contact of the Easybreath+ mask with sand, as it can scratch the lenses. If there is sand, do not force the mask into place. Rinse the mask and snorkel tube before connecting them. Sand can also block the float valve inside the snorkel tube. Rinse the mask forcefully or use a key that you can insert through the back holes of the mask to unblock the float valve, then rinse the mask.
