Lens tint
The color of your goggles should be suitable for the place you swim and its lighting. If you swim outdoors or in a brightly lit pool, prioritize goggles with smoked lenses to limit glare.
However, if the pool is quite dark with low lighting, for example on winter evenings, use clear lenses.
How to activate the anti-fog function of swimming goggles?
Activate the anti-fog by dipping the goggles in water and then running your finger along the inside of the lenses (do not dip the goggles back into the water). In case of repeated fogging (on average every 40 sessions), clean the inside of the goggles with neutral liquid soap (avoid hard soap), to remove the layer of pollution that has settled on them. Don't worry about scratches: This new technology is very resistant to scratches.
How to properly adjust swimming goggles
These swimming goggles adapt to your face morphology without needing much adjustment. Goggles that are too tight can cause discomfort, leave marks, and even create holes for water entry. It is not necessary to press the lenses with your hands, a slight suction effect is usually sufficient for swimming sessions without water entry holes. The straps should ideally sit 2-3 cm above your ears. This position will optimize the grip and comfort of the goggles.
Why do my swimming goggles fog up?
Fog is mainly created due to the temperature difference between the body and the water. Since the body is warmer than the practice environment, fog is created on the inside of the lenses due to evaporation. As a result, every tiny drop of sweat will stick to the inside of the goggles. In fact, it's a bit of luck: With a new anti-fog treatment, all these drops will eventually combine to create a film of water through which you can see clearly.
Durable and effective anti-fog technology: Anti-fog coating
Applied on top, this layer contains hydrophilic agents that prevent fogging. Instead of forming opaque drops, moisture spreads into an invisible film of water. In addition to providing effective anti-fog performance, this layer also improves scratch resistance, extending the life of the goggles.
Size: How to choose your swimming goggles
The fit of waterproof goggles depends on the adaptation of the silicone edges to the shape of the face.
Before buying goggles, we recommend performing the "suction" test without the elastic band. Place the goggles over your eyes; if they hold themselves with a little suction, they will be waterproof as soon as they are in the water. This test can also identify uncomfortable or annoying areas on the face.
Durable and effective anti-fog technology: Adhesion layer (or primer)
Applied directly to the inside of the lens, it ensures perfect adhesion of the anti-fog treatment. It protects it from the effects of water, heat, and friction, maintaining its stability and performance over time for improved durability.
