What is the comfort limit temperature?
The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person wrapped in the sleeping bag is in overall thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (defined for a man under normal conditions of use).
Twin-linking
To sleep two people, you need to connect 2 similar sleeping bags.
Tips before getting into your bag
Dress simply (one layer of clothing is enough). Warm your extremities: hat, gloves, socks, hand warmers, filling, etc. A hot water bottle can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there is no risk of accidental opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of energy converts to heat), but without moving to avoid cold drafts. To wash your sleeping bag less often, we recommend using a sleeping bag liner.
What you need to know about temperatures
A sleeping bag does not produce heat, but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and get into a cold, damp sleeping bag, you are very likely to feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! Therefore, these temperatures depend on the person's resistance to cold (body type, fatigue, etc.), equipment (insulated mattress, etc.), clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).
Washing the sleeping bag
We recommend using a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 8 kg and closing the zippers of the sleeping bag.
Use temperature
We display on all our sleeping bags the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to the European standard ISO 23537-1 dated 21/01/2017. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user in a relaxed position is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman under normal conditions of use). Choose the sleeping bag accordingly.
Our motivation? To offer you a sleeping bag with an integrated zipper for practical opening. It can also be converted into a duvet and twinned. 5-year warranty!
