Our team designed this scooter to facilitate urban travel over short distances (2 km) and for young people out for a stroll (1.25 to 1.65 m tall).
Is the scooter practical for urban use?
Yes! This Oxelo scooter folds down (folded dimensions: 90 cm) and the height is easy to adjust. And the strap makes it easy to carry on your shoulder if needed. Large wheels (175 mm) mean obstacles like curbs won't hinder you, while mudguards (front and rear) protect you from splashes in the rain.
What safety measures should you take with the MID 7 scooter?
As with skateboarding and rollerblading, you should wear protective gear (helmet, knee and elbow pads) to stay safe when riding a scooter. We also recommend checking your scooter before and after each ride to ensure there are no abnormal play, cracks, or sharp edges. Wheels and bearings are wear parts. Remember to check them and replace them if necessary.
Who is the MID 7 scooter designed for?
Anyone who is between 1.25 and 1.65 m tall. This means almost everyone! The secret behind the MID 7 is its versatility: it is fully equipped and you can adjust its height. Whether you're making short trips around town or family outings, this Decathlon scooter can take you anywhere and is three times faster than walking on average.
Does it keep all pants dry if it rains?
Not at all! A splash guard at the rear protects from splashes if it rains.
How are our products tested?
All our scooters are laboratory tested. These tests check compliance with European standards for scooters and look for wear. For example, one of our tests involves a machine that folds the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. In addition to laboratory tests, we do field tests - some measured and others based on testers' opinions - to truly put the product to the test. The result is a tested, proven product.
How should you maintain your scooter?
Wheels and bearings are wear parts. Remember to check them and replace them if necessary. You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store workshop. You can also get maintenance tips and tutorials on the Oxelo YouTube channel.
What type of travel can the MID 7 scooter be used for?
The MID 7 is designed for trips up to 2 km. For longer trips, you'll want a scooter with more features, such as larger wheels. As for the maximum load, it can be used by anyone weighing up to 100 kg.
