How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: We fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with small balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in liters. The main volume capacity of this bag is 32L. We also measured the volume with the 2 external side pockets for water bottles, through which its total capacity increases to 32L.
External dimensions
Height: 50 cm | Width: 28 cm | Thickness: 25 cm. This bag can be used as carry-on luggage when traveling by plane because its dimensions comply with airline (IATA) requirements, as long as it is not overstuffed. We recommend contacting your airline for details on cabin baggage size and weight restrictions.
How to pack your backpack?
Place heavy items, e.g., laptop, picnic, etc., at the bottom and in designated spaces. Pack your clothes around these items. Place small items that you will use during the day (sunscreen, map, sunglasses, etc.) in the pockets. Place your water bottle(s) in the external side pockets designed for this purpose.
Quechua backpack: 10-year warranty
At Decathlon, all our Quechua backpacks have a 10-year warranty against normal wear and tear. In case of a defect, we recommend repair, replacement, or refund. The warranty covers parts from the zipper to the stitching: more information can be found in the support section of the Decathlon website.
Sealing
The bag's components are water-repellent, so you can temporarily continue your hike/curse in light rain. Caution: This backpack is not waterproof/water-impermeable and does not have a rain cover. If you want to continue hiking/walking in the rain and protect your belongings, we recommend the following model: "Rain cover 20 to 40L", which can be seen on our website, item reference 8734213.
Tested for optimal durability
To guarantee the bag's durability, laboratory tests are carried out on the components and assemblies to replicate the aging of the backpack. For example, for a fabric, we test abrasion and tear resistance, colorfastness when exposed to UV light and washing, as well as water repellency. We use these tests to guarantee the bags for a 10-year period from the date of purchase on the receipt.

We pay special attention to comfort when designing our bags: The back, shoulder straps, and handle have thick foam padding covered with 3D mesh for better ventilation and drying. - Back: 5 cushions, made of 2 types of foam with a thickness of 15 mm (PE - PU). - Shoulder straps: made of 2 types of foam with a thickness of 15 mm (EVA - PU). The chest strap has padding, and its height and width are adjustable. The width of the waist belt can be adjusted.

How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all straps, shoulder straps, waist belt, and chest strap
2 - Put on the bag
3 - Fasten the chest strap and adjust its height and width
4 - Tighten the shoulder straps (from top to bottom)
5 - Fasten and adjust the waist belt
6 - Adjust as desired
