How to fix a basketball backboard to the wall?
The equipment needed to mount the basketball hoop will depend on the wall where you plan to hang it. If you are unsure, ask for advice from your local hardware store. If you want your hoop to be at the regulated height, the rim should be at 3.05 m. We also recommend that you never hang from the rim to prevent weakening the mounting system.
What ball should you use?
The ball size depends on the age and gender of the player. Baby basketball: sizes 1 to 3. Girls and boys under 10: size 5. Girls aged 10 and over, women, and boys aged 10 to 12: size 6. Boys over 12 and men: size 7. If you want a very durable ball, choose a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetics are the right materials.
Why use a wall mount to hang your hoop?
When mounting the basketball hoop to the wall, the height cannot be adjusted, and the backboard is at the same level as the wall. A wall attachment is excellent for family fun because it adapts to all ages and skill levels of players. Some models also have a setback system to avoid playing too close to the wall. The B300 and SB700 basketball backboards are all compatible with the Tarmak F500 mural accessory (8496982) which offers 3 playing heights.
