How to mount a new tire with an inner tube.
Start by mounting one side of the tire, paying attention to the direction of rotation (if indicated). Then add the tire with the slightly inflated inner tube and mount the last part onto the rim, starting from the valve to avoid pinching.
How to properly inflate the tire
Before inflating the tire, check that it is properly mounted. Once this step is complete, check the inflation recommendations indicated on the side of the tire. Inflate to the indicated pressure.
How to remove your tire
To remove a worn tire, first deflate the inner tube after the wheel has been removed. Press the sides to remove the tire from the rim. Then use DECATHLON tire levers (ref.: 8930710) to pry and remove the tire from the edge of the rim. Attach a tire lever to a spoke and repeat the action until one side is completely detached.
How to check the wear of your mountain bike tire?
To measure the wear of your tires and to know when they need replacement, you should inspect the tire surface. Common signs of wear include: - you can see the protective strip (or underlayer) below the tire tread. - if the tread pattern of your bicycle tire is worn. If either of these two conditions is met, we recommend replacing the tire.
