Our team, made up of parents of young hikers, designed these waterproof pants to protect children when it rains or is windy!
COMPONENT'S WATERPROOF CHARACTERISTICS
This garment has undergone a shower test using 60 litres of water/m²/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a heavy downpour in the mountains. A waterproof rating of 5,000 mm means that the fabric can withstand the pressure exerted by 5,000 mm of water (the equivalent of a two-hour rain shower). Waterproofing is expressed in Schmerber (for example: 5,000 Schmerbers).

COMPONENT BREATHABILITY
The breathability of components is measured by their thermal resistance to evaporation (RET). This is its ability to allow water vapour generated by the body during physical activity to escape and thus prevent water from accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.
RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric
RET ≤ 20: slightly breathable
Our product has a 12 RET rating
COMPONENT'S WATER-REPELLENT CHARACTERISTICS
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to run off its surface without penetrating inside. This prevents the fabric from absorbing water and keeps it light, warm, and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment must be repeated throughout the life of the garment (every 2-3 washes).
Stored at the bottom of the bag, these rain trousers completely protect your child from downpours. Worn with the MH500 jacket, they are a compact, waterproof, and breathable basic item.
