Fitting
For this model, we recommend choosing one size above your usual size.
How do they stay comfortable and fit well?
The semi-soft 3D mesh boots are comfortable and prevent too much moisture from building up inside the skate. The new comfortable foam and heel padding make life more pleasant. The "cuff" (the part of the boot that goes up your leg) is rigid and goes high enough to hold your ankle in place. Along with the triple fastening system (laces, micrometric buckle, and strap), it holds your ankle firmly.
How can you maintain/repair your skates?
You can replace parts or repair your skates using the after-sales parts found in-store, online, and at your local Decathlon store workshop. The parts you can change are 80 mm 80A or 80 mm 84A wheels and ABEC 7 or ABEC 9 bearings. The brake mount is adaptable to both feet.
What is the maximum weight for these Oxelo Fit 500 skates?
These adult skates meet the EN 13843 Class A standard (the in-line skate standard for adults). This standard applies to "Roller sports equipment - in-line skates" designed for a person weighing between 20 kg and 100 kg. This European standard defines safety requirements and specifications for testing methods, markings, and information provided by the manufacturer, with the aim of reducing the risk of injury.
How can you make the wheels last longer?
It's normal to swap the wheels because they don't wear out evenly. The reason? We often skate with our feet slightly angled inwards when pushing off and turning. If you want to prevent them from wearing out, swap the wheels (in pairs).
How much do the Oxelo Fit 500 skates weigh?
2.7 kg per pair in size 6.
How are our products tested?
All our skates are laboratory tested. These tests verify their compliance with European standards for skates, as well as their wear resistance. In addition to laboratory tests, we carry out field tests - some measured and others based on testers' opinions - to truly put the product to the test. The result is a tested, proven product.
How can you make your skates last longer?
To extend the lifespan of your skates after skating in water, dust, or sand, remove the wheels, dry them, and clean the bearings with a dry cloth. Find our tips and tutorials on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/oxelo/videos
Do you have to choose between glide quality and maneuverability?
No, not with Oxelo. Decathlon's FIT500 skates glide very nicely thanks to their aluminum frame (stronger than a plastic frame which transfers the skater's energy very well), ABEC 7 bearings, and new 80 mm rubber wheels (80 A hardness to give you more grip and comfort). The combination of the aluminum frame and 80 mm rubber wheels gives you a good balance between push quality and glide. The frame can also accommodate 84 mm wheels.
