What about material choices?
We chose 18/8 (304) stainless steel because it combines food safety and long-lasting resistance. It does not oxidize and prevents corrosion. It is very resistant and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal ones).
How did we choose the plastics for our cooking sets?
Polyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (bowl, handle) and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and highly resistant to heat (at least 100°C), shocks and deformation. All our plastics in contact with food are Bisphenol-A (BPA) free in accordance with French regulations. Be careful not to place plastic parts in direct contact with flame.
What should you avoid doing with your cooking set?
Never heat empty pots, this will deform and damage them. When using a wood fire, make sure the flames do not directly touch the plastic parts. Close the handle properly before using the cooking set over a fire.
How to clean and maintain the cooking set?
Before first use, rinse all items 3 times with clean water. All items can be washed in a dishwasher and, when used outdoors, can be washed with soapy water or with water and river sand! If the bottom of your pot is marked, you can use a spiral sponge (stainless steel) to clean it. This type of sponge can be easily found in any store.
What else should you know:
Our cooking sets are compatible with all types of fires (wood, gas, induction, etc.). The pot has a foldable handle with 2 patented foldable parts that locks the lid during transport. The lid fits the pot, heats food faster and also serves as a strainer.
Materials and regulations
All our products and materials meet current standards and materials in contact with food do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA).
How to store the cooking set?
Items are stored inside the cooking set. First the bowl, then the cutlery which can be clipped together. Then the lid is placed and locked with the foldable handle. Bowls and cutlery are also available for sale individually.
How did we choose the coating for our cooking sets?
For the 100 range, we have chosen not to use a non-stick coating, so that the product is simple and compatible with all conditions of use and washing. No need to ask how to carry it, or wash it without damaging it!
