The secret of the insulated flask?
The double stainless steel wall with vacuum insulation blocks heat from conduction and convection. A thin copper layer reduces thermal exchange from radiation. Some tips to improve thermal insulation: Fill your bottle with hot water for 5 minutes, then replace the water with your hot liquids, then close it. The fuller the bottle, the better it retains heat. Caution: the flask is very insulating, liquids will remain hot for a long time.
Functionality
The top opens easily with one hand by pressing the white button marked "PRESS". When carrying the flask, you can block this button by sliding the white button downwards. A red area appears, indicating that the top is locked and can no longer be pressed. The top has an integrated filter to keep large tea leaves or infused fruit away from your cup. It is not suitable for very finely cut teas.
Care tips
Can be washed in the dishwasher (top + body). Be careful not to lose the top gaskets. Dry it without covering. The top seal can be removed for complete washing and drying.
Materials and regulations
Our products and materials meet current standards for food contact. They do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA) in accordance with applicable French regulations. We have chosen to use 18/8 (304) stainless steel for the body of the flask, known for its food safety, and for the top, a heat and shock resistant polypropylene.
First use
Rinse the entire product 3 times with clean water before using it for the first time.
Product design: our expertise
Our global design center Quechua is located in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing your mountain hiking products and offering you all our expertise.
How is thermal insulation tested?
We tested this flask in the laboratory according to standard EN 12546-1, at an ambient temperature of 20°C while filled to capacity. The time it takes for the temperature to drop from 95°C to 50°C (the temperature at which drinks are considered warm enough to drink) is 28 hours.
This 1L insulated flask keeps liquids hot or cold. Significantly lighter than a standard insulated flask. Quick-opening seal with integrated filter.
