How do I properly use the adjustment system for Nordic walking poles?
We developed the system to make your life easier. There are a few adjustments you'll need to make. We'll show you how! https://conseilsport.decathlon.fr/conseils/comment-bien-utiliser-le-bloqueur-externe-de-mes-batons-de-marche-nordique-tp_35296
What are the special features of Nordic walking poles?
Nordic walking is always performed using two walking poles for better propulsion. Thanks to the straps, you can hold the walking poles in your hands or let them go without dropping them. The poles have the advantage of being lightweight. The tip of the Nordic walking pole grips the ground to propel you forward. The removable tips (supplied) guarantee a good grip on hard terrain.
REPAIR
Extend the life of your poles by replacing worn parts (ferrules, handles, or tips). Replaceable spare parts are available online. You will also find the explanatory video in the "MAINTENANCE and REPAIR" section.
What are the differences between Nordic walking and hiking?
Nordic walking is done with special walking poles. These walking poles help propel your movement and work the upper body more intensely. Hiking is done with or without poles to maintain your position while climbing and to avoid slipping during descents.
How do I adjust the size of Nordic walking poles?
1. Take the poles in hand and place the handle: Standing, holding the pole with the tip on the floor, your elbow should form a 90° angle. 2. Calculate the optimal height for your Nordic walking poles: Your height (cm) x 0.68. If you are a beginner, it is better to choose a slightly smaller pole to learn the correct movements. For example, if your height is 1m67, the calculation will be: 167 x 0.68 = 113.56. Adjust the Nordic walking poles to 110 cm.
How do I use Nordic walking poles?
1. To remove the tips more easily, the used product leaves a soft film inside. To avoid losing the tip, simply sprinkle some powder inside to remove the oil and the tip will be securely fixed. 2. The attachment for fixing the strap to the handle has a direction. There is a flat side and a side with slanted angles. Make sure the side with slanted angles is facing up or place the straps on your hands before attaching them to the pole.
What are the benefits of Nordic walking?
Nordic walking is good for overall physical condition and can be enjoyed by everyone. It helps tone the body, improves breathing, is effective when it comes to weight loss, and strengthens bones. In addition to all the physical benefits, practicing this sport outdoors also contributes to a sense of well-being.
