Should you send your children to basketball lessons?
Basketball is one of those sports that children can learn from an early age with smaller balls and adjustable hoops. You can even send them to special basketball lessons with rules suitable for children from the age of 3-4. This helps them develop their motor skills by learning not only the proper technique, but also by working as a team. Basketball also develops muscles, flexibility, speed, endurance, and team spirit.
What ball should you use?
The size of the ball depends on the player's age and gender. Size 1: Ages 3 and up
Size 3: Girls and boys aged 4 to 6
Size 5: Boys aged 7 to 11 / Girls aged 7 to 13
Size 6: Boys aged 12 to 13 / Girls/Women aged 14 and up
Size 7: Boys/Men aged 14 and up
If you want a very durable ball, choose a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, you need leather or synthetic.

What hoop height should you choose?
The official height of a basketball hoop is 3.05 m (rim height). If you want a basketball hoop for your child, you need something that will grow with them. For younger children, there is no official height, so you can choose whatever suits them best.
Up to 10 years old, club hoops are set at 2.60 m. After 10 years old, both girls and boys play with 3.05 meter hoops.
