Description

We developed this ball for futsal players who play on parquet and PVC, as well as on more abrasive surfaces (asphalt, concrete).

Precision

Our design team rolls the ball on an inclined surface towards a table. The direction of the trajectory and the change in the angle of the trajectory are measured: maximum allowable deviation of 5°.

Design

Our design team observed futsal players playing on outdoor courts to design and create this futsal ball. Durable thanks to its hybrid construction: For the design of this ball, we combined the comfort of machine stitching with the durability of hand stitching. In addition, we chose a PU that is more abrasion-resistant and a bladder with wound threads (2 km of threads surrounding the bladder) to ensure more resistant inflation and improved sphericity.

Shape and pressure retention

The ball undergoes 2500 shots against an inclined concrete surface at 50 km/h from a distance of 2.5 m. Maximum increase of 1 cm in circumference, maximum 1.5% change in sphericity and maximum 1.5% change in pressure.

Weight

Between 410 and 430 g.

Maximum pressure loss

20% in 72 hours.

A team of passionate individuals dedicated to our futsal products is located in Kipstadium, a site in Northern France with a variety of pitches. These men and women of Decathlon design and create products and services exclusively for this sport. We are constantly looking for ways to improve comfort and safety for Futsal players.

Sphericity

Average measured variation: maximum of 1.5%. We measure the sphericity of the football at 16 different points and then examine any changes. If the difference is greater than 1.5% (FIFA Pro Standard), our engineers are tasked with improving sphericity to guarantee consistent bounce.

Bounce

Between 55 and 65 cm with a maximum difference of 10 cm between the highest and lowest bounce of the ball. Each ball is dropped 10 times onto a steel plate from a height of 2 meters.

Circumference

Between 62.5 and 63.5 cm.

Our design teams created this hybrid futsal ball with internal stitching for greater durability and comfort. The outer PU material is abrasion-resistant.

Durability

Internal and invisible stitching makes the ball more durable.

Bounce

Regular and controlled bounce thanks to the integrated padding.

Lasting air retention

Maintains pressure longer thanks to the butyl and latex bladder.
