      The history of the Areeta shoe

      This beach shoe is a cross between a flip-flop and a trainer. The flip-flop side gives you the feeling of being barefoot, while the trainer side provides coverage and supports your foot nicely. The AREETA is designed to combine the benefits of each of these types of footwear!

      The Areeta name

      The name of this beach shoe, AREETA, originates from the Basque Country. It means SAND. Sand is the beach, the water, the gateway to all our water sports! Our water sports products are designed, developed and tested at our water sports Centre in Hendaye, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the Basque Country. The name Areeta is a nod to this land, a veritable stronghold of water sports.

      New version

      Our new AREETA has all the advantages of its “big sister”; lightweight, compact, breathable, and can be worn as an espadrille or closed-back shoe. We simply redesigned the areas for improvement that you, the users, pointed out to us. In short: improved cushioning for even greater comfort and stronger mesh over the toe area. All while giving it a bit of a makeover in terms of style!

      Extremely light and airy shoes that give you the impression of walking barefoot. Wear closed for extra support, or with the heel down like an espadrille.

      Can be slipped on like an espadrille, with the heel exposed or covered.

      Lightweight

      Lightweight with average weight of 292 g in size 43. Compact for your travels.
